Update :D

Oh goodness gracious! I have been absolutely HORRIBLE at keeping this updated. :/
Here is the update....

Peter is in IRAQ!

haha, ok but there is more :)

We are going on almost 4 weeks of him being there, and I keep getting asked,
"When is he coming back?"
"How long will he be there??"

The answer to both questions is, "I dont know." "WE dont know."

Prsident Obama has promised all troops out of Iraq by December. I dont believe that, because if it were true, then we would be plannign a homecoming in December and I would get my husband back for Christmas. So we will just wait and see :)

So far Peter is doing well. I wish he could get on here and let you all know what he thinks of Iraq, but I think i will do it instead and add some sugar to it. He HATES it there. He knows that he is doing his duty and its his job to be over there, but being over there has helped him to see that there is no point. Not going to get all political or anything, or start bashing on Iraq, but it is completely safe to say that he HATES it : ) that is the nicest way it can be put haha.

He has taken a few pictures, but with what he is doing he cant pull out his camera to document everything [i asked him to hand it to someone else to take pictures for him, and we will see how that goes]

So there you have it : ) Thanks for reading, and im really sorry if this came off as "bossy". I am only meaning to be informative, and help my husband stay safe. : )

PICTURE TIME!!!!!
some of you have seen these on facebook..... but here they are : )

HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY!!!! ♥

saying goodbye.....

I have had songs pop in my head that Peter and I both LOVE. They make me happy AND at the same time make me sad. I think it is because i know i wont be able to actually listen to them WITH him since he will be gone for at least 7 months. I Miss him so much already BUT i also know that its not forever, and we just started. Im trying to be pretty upbeat about it and not be a whiny self centered "woe is me, becaus my husband is deployed" type of people. Trust me when i say, I know how those type of people are. I see updates on Facebook and hear from people all the time. I dont like when people whine about stuff they can control. I might complain for a few minutes, but it is not all on facebook and no one really ever knows when i do it. Unless that person is Peter. HAHA, he has to hear it sometimes from me : ) THATS why we are in love and married. To be each others support and we are allowed to vent, cry, complain, whine [a little] and generally be there for each other. This time will allow us [as crazy as it sounds] to grow closer to one another AND closer to our Heavenly Father. We are dealing with this ok and appreciate all the support from our family and friends ♥

Here are some pictrues [if you have already seen them on Facebook, then im sorry and bear with me as i try to share with everyone what this day was like for us...] from the Day peter left. I plan on blowing some of them to very large size and hanging them in one of our hallways...

getting healthy: )

For the past few days I have been walking about 4 miles along the riverwalk by our post: ) it is REALLY pretty and I am thinking of taking pictures so I can show just how pretty it is. This has.inspired me (among other things) to get healthy amd be active. I want to be able to.enjoy more walks lile I did today with my husband and future children. I love being out doors, when I actually make the effort to get up and go outside, because the fresh air always makes me feel better. I want our family to be happy and health for all the future years to come <3

change

I am laying in bed thinking of how the day went. Sundays used to be my favorie day of the week. It has always been the day of the week I look forward to the most. As a child we would come home and eat lunch and take a nap, maybe watch some Disney movies and have dinner. All done as a family. We were able to talk about what happened at church and tell each other about all we learned. Then as I got older, we would replace naps with feeding the missionaries (they had to stay at church for BOTH wards that met in our building and didn't have enough time to go home and eat) and then we would sit and talk as a family, or maybe take a drive down to the ocean. NOW as a married adult living in a state where I have NO family and am in a "military" ward, people come and go quite often. I can hardly remember anyones name and it seems people can on vaguely recall our name but they KNOW they have seen us before. I think people have thought peter was deployed already because we missed church for a few sundays. I miss having visiting teachers and home teachers that are on a regular schedule. I also realize that I myself need to be better about that as well.

If we are going to make it through this deployment, we are going to have to rely on the Lord more that either of us have ever had to before. It seems scary now that I am thinking about it, but I trust in my heavenly father and know that he has both of our best interest in mind. Everything happens for a reason and it is all a part of his great and wonderful plan for our eternal salvation.

I'm going to bed now. When I rise, it will be in a new day and I will have the will and power to continue and embrace the challenges that I KNOW are coming for us.

Yep. Its Official. I am HORRIBAL at blogging. :/ It is so hard for me to sit and write what I want, because, A) this is not my journal. B) I just dont know how to put how i feel into words. Terrible. I start or get everything ready and when it is "GO" time, i just decide that I dont want to. Its pretty lame. I NEED to be better about it, especially since Peter is deploying, and I hope to keep everyone included, what i can include you all in, on here : ) [see my post a few posts down about OPSEC if you have any questions on why i cant tell you something]

We are leaving tonight to start our Predeployment Leave [VACATION!!! WOoo hoooo] in CALI! we are stopping first to see Peters Parents in Arizona and spend a few days with them, and thin we will be headed to good ole SoCal. Where the Beaches are beautiful, Disneyland is a MUST, and our family is PLENTY! ♥ We couldn't be more excited :D

Something that has been bothering me lately is that some people dont realize that we have not been "HOME" since LAST January. That is almost 15 months! Since we live in the middle of the United States, and dont have kids, WE are the ones who have to travel to see everyone. We understand that it is harder to travel with kids, and this is our 2nd trip that we have saved for so that we could go home and see everyone we know and love, and they can have an opportunity to see Peter before he leaves for Iraq. Its kinda sad when you spend ALL year saving for 1 trip and no one can truly understand the sacrifice it is to save what it costs in GAS alone to get there. We do this without hesitation, and go with out splurging on our selves quite often because we love our family. They are the most important thing to us. before i go off on a rant and ruin my post, i will end here by saying that WE MISS CALI AND CANT WAIT TO BE HOME ♥

Peter and I went to a Kansas City Chiefs game right after Christmas and we had a BLAST! We had never been to a pro NFL game, and thought it might be fun to go for the first time together, and i am sure it is not going to be our last game! ♥ We froze our bums off and had to be around a lot of drunk people [why do people have more fun when drunk, i will NEVER know]. I can now say that i have been to a Pro NFL game, 4 MLB games, 1 NHL game and now I need to go to a pro soccer game haha.
